Right to Service Act 2012: This legislation was enacted to ensure that services expected by citizens from government offices and local self-government institutions are delivered transparently and within strict timeframes. Following the establishment of the unified Local Self-Government Department, comprehensive details of the notification issued—specifying the designated time limit for each service, the responsible designated officer, and the first and second appellate authorities—are provided below.
Civil Registration
Birth, death, and marriage registrations, along with certificates, are made available within 5 to 15 days.
Building Construction Permits
Building construction permits and occupancy certificates must be provided within 15 days.
Real-Time Services
Ownership certificates for tax-clearance properties and self-certification permits are issued on the same day.
Pension Services
Old-age, widow, disability, and agricultural worker pensions must be cleared within 40 days.
